Terms and Conditions
The Website and its content are owned by PeriWise, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“Company”, “we”, or “us”). The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of beperiwise.com (“Website”), and/or to the participants in our workshops. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions on the Website at any time without notice, and by using the Website you are agreeing to the T&C as they appear, whether or not you have read them. If you do not agree with these T&C, please do not use our Website.
1.0 Website Use and Consent
The words, content, design, layout, graphics, photos, images, information, materials, documents, data, databases and all other information and intellectual property accessible on or through this Website, including our Services (“Content”) is our owned or licensed property and is protected by United States intellectual property laws. If you purchase a service, program, product or subscription, or otherwise entered into a separate agreement with us, in addition to the T&C which shall apply, you will also be subject to the terms of that agreement or those terms of use, which shall prevail in the event of a conflict. Online purchases may have additional terms of use relating to the purchase transaction. By accessing or using this Website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Any registration by, use of, or access to the Website by anyone under age 18 is unauthorized, unlicensed and a violation of these T&C.
1.1 Your Registration Obligations
You may be required to register with PeriWise in order to access and use certain features of the Services. If you choose to register for the Services, you agree to provide and maintain true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by a Service’s registration form. Registration data and certain other information about you are governed by our Privacy Policy. If you are under 13 years of age, you are not authorized to use the Services, with or without registering.
You have complete responsibility for your account and everything that happens on your account, including for any harm or damage (to us or anyone else) caused by someone using your account without your permission. This means you need to be careful with your password. You may not transfer your account to someone else or use someone else’s account. If you contact us to request access to an account, we will not grant you such access unless you can provide us with the information that we need to prove you are the owner of that account. In the event of the death of a user, the account of that user will be closed.
You may not share your account login credentials with anyone else. You are responsible for what happens with your account and PeriWise will not intervene in disputes between students or instructors who have shared account login credentials. You must notify us immediately upon learning that someone else may be using your account without your permission (or if you suspect any other security incident) by email us at caroline@beperiwise.com. We may request some information from you to confirm that you are indeed the owner of your account.
We care about the security of our users and aim to protect your account and related information; however, PeriWise cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security measures. Please notify us immediately about any compromised or unauthorized use of your account by emailing caroline@beperiwise.com.
1.2 Online Commerce
Certain sections of the Website may allow you to make purchases from us or from other merchants. If you make a purchase from us on or through our Website, all information obtained during your purchase or transaction and all of the information that you give as part of the transaction, such as your name, address, method of payment, credit card number, and billing information, may be collected by both us, the merchant, and our payment processing company. Please review our Privacy Policy for how we comply with securing your personal data. Your participation, correspondence or business dealings with any affiliate, individual or company found on or through our Website, all purchase terms, conditions, representations or warranties associated with payment, refunds, and/or delivery related to your purchase, are solely between you and the merchant. You agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, refunds, or other matters of any sort that incurred as the result of such dealings with a merchant. Payment processing companies and merchants may have privacy and data collection practices that are different from ours. We have no responsibility or liability for these independent policies of the payment processing companies and merchants. In addition, when you make certain purchases through our Website, you may be subject to the additional terms and conditions of a payment processing company, merchant or us that specifically apply to your purchase. You release us, our affiliates, our payment processing company, and merchants from any damages that you incur, and agree not to assert any claims against us or them, arising from your purchase through or use of our Website.
1.3 Pricing
The prices of Services on PeriWise are set and reviewed regularly.
We occasionally run promotions and sales for our Services, during which certain Services are available at discounted prices for a set period of time, or under certain conditions. The price applicable to the Services will be the price at the time you complete your purchase of the Service (at checkout). Any price offered for a particular Service may also be different when you are logged into your account from the price available to users who aren’t registered or logged in, because some of our promotions are available only to new users.
If you are a student located in a country where use and sales tax, goods and services tax, or value added tax is applicable to consumer sales, we are responsible for collecting and remitting that tax to the proper tax authorities. Depending on your location, the price you see may include such taxes, or tax may be added at checkout.
1.4 Add-Ons
PeriWise may offer certain Services as add-ons, which are optional and separate purchases that enhance an existing subscription to an underlying Service by giving you additional benefits to such Service to supplement your learning. When you purchase an add-on, it becomes a part of your overall subscription to the applicable underlying Service.
1.5 Payments
You agree to pay the fees for the Service that you purchase, and you authorize us to charge your debit or credit card or process other means of payment for those fees. PeriWise works with payment service providers to offer you the most convenient payment methods in your country and to keep your payment information secure. We may update your payment methods using information provided by our payment service providers. Check out our Privacy Policy for more details.
1.6 Refund Policy
Refunds are not available on any purchases of services. If you believe you have purchased a service in error please contact us at caroline@beperiwise.com immediately. Requests received more than 24 hours after purchasing will not be considered. Refunds will be issued only if a service is not utilized, they are not available due to dissatisfaction or misuse. Refunds are not available for accounts which have violated the T&C or any of our policies; violations are determined at the sole discretion of PeriWise. If we determine that you are abusing our policies, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse or restrict any and all current or future use of the Services without delivering a refund.
2.0 Intellectual Property Rights
2.1 Service Content, Software and Trademarks:
You acknowledge and agree that the Services may contain content or features (“Service Content”) that are protected by copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights and laws. By accessing or using any part of the Service or the Service Content, you represent and warrant that you are not using it for the development, training, or evaluation of artificial intelligence models, unless explicitly authorized in writing by PeriWise. Specifically, you may not access, scrape, copy, download, or otherwise use any content from this Service or the Service Content for the purposes of training, fine-tuning, or otherwise improving any machine learning model, large language model, generative AI system, or similar technology, without the express prior written consent of PeriWise. Any unauthorized use of the Service or the Service Content content for AI training constitutes a material breach of these Terms and is considered a knowing and intentionally willful infringement of PeriWise intellectual property rights.
If you are blocked by PeriWise from accessing the Services (including blocking your IP address), you agree not to implement any measures to circumvent such blocking (e.g., by masking your IP address or using a proxy IP address). Any use of the Services or the Service Content other than as specifically authorized herein is strictly prohibited. The technology and software underlying the Services or distributed in connection therewith are the property of PeriWise, our affiliates and our partners (the “Software”). You agree not to copy, modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or otherwise attempt to discover any source code, sell, assign, sublicense, or otherwise transfer any right in the Software. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by PeriWise.
The PeriWise name and logos are trademarks and service marks of PeriWise (collectively the “PeriWise Trademarks”). Other names and logos of products and services that are used and displayed via the Services may be trademarks or service marks of their respective owners who may or may not endorse or be affiliated with or connected to PeriWise. Nothing in this T&C or the Services should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any of PeriWise Trademarks displayed on the Services, without our prior written permission in each instance. All goodwill generated from the use of PeriWise Trademarks will inure to our exclusive benefit.
2.2 Our License to You
This Website including its content is property solely owned by PeriWise, LLC and/or our affiliates or licensors, unless otherwise noted, and it is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. If you view or access our Website, you will be considered our Licensee. For the avoidance of doubt, you are granted a revocable, non-transferable lifetime license for personal, non-commercial use only, limited to you only.
By creating an account and purchasing access to one of our services (“classes”) you will maintain access to said service for the entire duration of the lifespan of PeriWise, LLC. However, we reserve the right to contact you periodically if you have not accessed your account for a reasonable amount of time to ask whether you wish to continue to maintain access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time with or without notice.

You will not copy, duplicate or steal any part of our Website. You understand that doing anything with our Website that is contrary to these T&C and the limited license we are providing to you herein is considered theft, and we reserve our right to prosecute theft to the full extent of the law.

You agree that PeriWise will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Services. We have no obligation to retain any of Your Account or Submitted Content for any period of time beyond what may be required by applicable law.
As a Licensee, you understand and acknowledge that this Website has been developed or obtained by us through the investment of significant time, effort and expense, and that this Website is the valuable, special and unique assets of ours which need to be protected from improper and unauthorized use.
